Now back to study

Well so this is the end of week two!
Most of the time of this week we where buzzy in making our own project...
This means that we had to start our own organisations with everything around it.
Ofcourse it is all just on paper and not real But it gives you a lot of practise time and helps you to put you´re dreams on paper!

In the beginning i didn´t realy like it so much becouse i didn´t think that they where going to like my idear of the project... But then when i got aproval of the teacher of the week (Johan Lukasse) i got realy enthousiastic! and most f my time i am thinking about how to make my prject real
The school is much tougher then i thought. but thats okey im realy eager to learn and that helps so much!!

DELIRIOUS CONCERT...

Yesterday evening so thats thursday evening we went to a concert with a group! Delirious is making a tour through Brazil and so they also came to Belo Horizonte. They gave a free concert for 20.000 youngsters...



we all vitted in the big Stadium church of the Lagonia Batista
and then not even the biggest church of the city jet... Can you imagin that on a sunday they have three services so thats 60.000 people and thats not even the whole membersip og the church thats about 135.000!!!



We couldnt see that much and we couldnt here the music that well eather... but we had a good evening! thats for sure!!


We couldnt see much of Delirious but then there were also other things to see like this brazilian beauty... Or like they call them flamengo´s over here!! Her name is Ruth and she is part of my school... To bad she has a boy friend though...
No Im not here to find a girl friend and am not looking at girls all the time. But maybe for the guys that read my weblog... Yes its true brazilian girls are realy nice!!

Street Mom

This Girl is only 15 years old and before she got pregnant she lived on the street... Thanx to the help of YWAM and the work they do here. She at least had a good House to stay in during the last months od her pregnancy and the first year with her baby!

I realy liked to see her being helped away from the street!
The first time i was in brazil. I got to know her becouse i then worked on the street where she lived together with her boyfriend who is in jail now by the way! for killing somebody!

My Lovely Roommate

Meet Leandro!
Leandro is my room mate. An extremely active guy with ADHD(dutch word)
Imagen having an alarm clock with hair on its chest that wakes you up every morning at 6:40 not by ringing a bell but by farting and laughing realy anoying!
Well i love him anyway! at least i wake up in time every morning!

Then he has such a huge life story... like being a ex-streetkid and a ex-drugdealer a father and many other things... I respect him and hope to be able to have real conversations with him soon

Hearing Gods voice

Wow thats a cool subject...
And can it be true?? Yes it can!!
let me give you an example of what he told me this last week!

One of the things we have to do as homework for the course is make a journal! this is a litle book in wich you can write about things that you learned last week. memmorys that have, things you want to remember! its a bit like hs weblog only the on paper and about he lessons we have...
One thing they realy want you to do is use some of you´re creativety and make it look atractive sp that you look in it easyer! and well you poeple probably know that i realy love creativety so i started right away!

First the front cover... what shall i put on it and so i started scetching a bit. I made all kind of cicles like on a target with shooting practise... (you understand??) Ill make a picure of it and post it later so you all can see...
Big circles small circles and collerd some of the circles red... It took a long time till i had it done but the result was realy good... Now i just didn´t know what it ment jet and what does it have to do with with the children at risk school?

So every day we have a sceduled quiet time... you can go and do other things as well. But i am realy focussing on doing it everyday and am realy happy that i now have a good chance of keeping it! The morning after i made the front cover i also took quiet time and went on reading Ezekiel which i am reading for some time allready. Ezekiel 31 (next time i go to the internet cafe ill bring a english bible then i can post the art that i a talking about) Ezekiel is talking about Egypt i think. about that it schouldnt be proud of it self! He compares Egypt with a beautifull ceder tree from Libanon. strong and big, lots of leaves and fruit childrenplay in it animals have their youngs in it.
Its this beautifull becouse it goes with its roots into abundant waters which it shares with the trees around him...

Then i knew it the circle that i drew form life circle inside of trees... There are big ones thats us grown ups and there are small ones the children some of them are collored in red the collor of danger. So children at risk!
Then it tells about not being proud becousse of its own great strength no... The big trees are only strong becouse of the water they get from the roots! They share this water with the others!

Isn´t the Holy Spirit many times compared with water? So drew ble circles inside the red ones aswell wich gives a perfect link to the school!

I believe od spoke to me about not trusting my own strength and to trust his Holy spirrit by all times! He is the reason i can give frute...

Start of the school

Yesterday evening we had the opening of the school
And today we kicked of with the first lessons of Johan lukasse... he talked about respacting woman and how this can be a real witness towards the rest of the world becouse in other cultures then christian culture the female is being abused in many ways...
A realy intresting subject in wich we as man had a special mission ofcourse!

The school has many more students then i first thought. we have 34 students now in which most are foreigners. With ofcourse plenty of dutchies. at least 5 f them!
But most of the talking is done in portuguees becouse the brazilians all dont speek any anglisch and the foreigners realy like to practise there portuguees

Also the school has so much more things that we have to do that i will be very buzzy these comming months... Like we have to read a book every month. which is realy hard for me becouse normaly i read one book in a year. We also have to make a journal and we have our work duties plus that we do practical work at the base as well

Belo Horizonte

Well And so here we are!!
Belo Horizonte my new city! Well at least for the comming three months...
the building you see on the picture is the metro station and one one of the few nice places in Belo...

After picking up Jessica (the english girl from the school) from the airport in Rio de Janeiro we together travelled to Belo... and maybe i took this road before it still suprissed me in how long it took to get to Belo... and Well how beutifull the brazilian nature is... But well 6 and a half hour later we arrived!

the last few days have bin realy good to me...
its so good to meet all the new people and re meet the people that i allready new from the first time i went to brazil... Its amazing that all these people still recognize me... Also its been realy good to see the progress of the work that is going on over here. Like today we vissited the girls house and there was a girl that i met the first time. by that time she still lived on the street but now she was one of the girls in the house and found her self a realy nice new life in wich she is doing realy good... So thank God!

One other thing that realy keeps me buzzy is the learning of portuguees... i allready speek some but its still so diuffcult to have real conversations with the brazilians... but well today i allready speek more then yesterday so if i keep up this speed of learning then i´ll be speeking portuguees soon

Arrived Safely

Bon dia mio familia!!

Eo arrivao a Rio!!
Hahaha thats me trying to speek portuguees probably there are more then three mistakes in that sentence only! Well if i would say it to someone here then they would understand!

What it meens??
Well it says that i arrived in Rio!
It was still very difficult to get here but i made it!
I was supposed to fly from Schiphol to Frankfurt...
Then from frankfurt to Madrid and from Madrid to Rio de janeiro!
But it almost changed into a disaster!

There was a huge thunderstorm above Madrid so the whole airport was closed and we couldn´t land there... plus that we didn´t have enough fuel. So we had to fly to Valencia and wait until the storm was over... Well i got scared now becouse i had to catch my next plane in two ours... luckely the storm moved away and after refuling we could go to Madrid anyway. But well what would have happended if i didn´t make it in time!

From there on it went okey! to Rio i was flying in a realy old plane wich made strange noices on take off. so that worried me but when we got at 31000 feet (8700m) it stopped... so i could sleep! what was difficult but i had enough space for my long legs so that made me more confortable...

We arrived safely but realy early in the morning so when i tried to get money out of the ATM it didn´t work... i got realy scared again... what if my my card doesn´t work?? then i cant pay for my hotel and this and that. So i decided to wait till 8:00 when most of the shops open so maybe the bank opened that time as well
And yes it worked. after 4 hours of waiting i finaly had money and could leave the airport!

Ill tell the rest later...
Now i have to go to the airport to pick up an Englisch girl who is going to do the same school as me... together we will travel to Belo horizonte by buss
And then i will have many pictures to show you all!!
so chech my blog again tomorrow!
